Caritas Volunteer Day 2010

To celebrate the International Volunteer Day, Caritas Eparhial Oradea organized Caritas Volunteer Day, 5th edition, Thursday, December 9, 2010, in the festive hall of the Greek Catholic High School in Oradea. The association enjoys the support of 150 volunteers enrolled under a voluntary agreement. Volunteers were rewarded for the work in 2010.
The event was attended by Bishop Virgil Bercea, Adina Patroc from ASCO, volunteers and others who wanted to be with volunteers. The event was broadcast live on the Internet by www.cristv.ro.
During the event were presented activities in which volunteers were involved in 2010 and will be awarded.
AWARD FOR WARM MEAL PROGRAM
"A warm meal for the poor" is a daily service in which, 30 people receive for free two-cooked dishes and bread. The role of volunteers is to distribute the warm food, also offering to the beneficiaries a good word.
Nominees were: Georgeta Bencheu, Liviua Dat, Oprean Ligia, Burdaş Ciprian, Papiţ Alin.

AWARD FOR THE „GOOD SAMARITAN”
It’s a program that provides modern appropriate clothing season, volunteers in this program perform two tasks. The first relates to the selection and arrangement of clothing received from donations, and the second relates to their actual distribution, once a week.
Nominees were: Alina Banciu, Liviu Dat, Georgeta Finna, Melania Saracut, Timea Szombati.
Prize has been awarded to: Alina Banciu.
AWARD FOR HOME CARE SERVICES
In this work the volunteers were involved in coordination and home visits to sick beneficiaries and often immobilized. Home visits have resulted in providing support for administrative and domestic activities, socialization and even offering beneficiaries specialized services.
The award was given to volunteer: Voichiţa Vascan.
A special Prize was given to a person who has consistently supported the Home Care Center. The award was given to volunteer: Dr. Narcisa Cizmaş.
2% CAMPAIGN AWARD
Targeting a 2% tax that was retained by the state last year to build a home for the elderly, Frenţiu House. With the help of volunteers we managed this year to attract people to allocate the percentage to our association. They have prepared envelopes that were distributed in the city with 2% forms.
Nominees were: Georgea Finna, Alexandru Muresan.
The award was given to: Georgeta Finna.
AWARD FOR CHRISTMAS COLLECT 2009
It runs at a super market in the city of Oradea, and this time the volunteers were very active and are involved in distributing flyers, collecting food and donations received.
Nominees were: Cornelia Vesea, Levente Toth, Georgeta Finna, Radu Chirodea, Ioana Aciu.
Prize has been awarded to: Cornelia Vesea.
EASTER AWARD WINNING COLLECTION OF 2010
Like previous years, volunteers have supported us to collect Easter in three of the five churches in which it took place.
Nominees were: Ioan Bodea, Alexander Farc Banciu Alina Vlad Raita.
Volunteer Award was given to: Ioan Bodea.
AWARD FOR FUNDRAISING
In addition to the three activities above and relate to the collection of different funds, the association also implies volunteers and other such activities. This year we are referring to requests from the front, street collect for school supplies, making cards.
Nominees were: Alexandru Muresan, Georgeta Finna.
The award was given to: Alexandru Muresan.
AWARD FOR ECONMIC ACTIVITIES
Throughout the year volunteers were involved in tailoring activities or Gutenberg Bookstore, economic activities that support social services association.
Nominees were: Georgeta Bencheu, Roberta Anca.
Prize has been awarded to: Roberta Anca.
AWARD „FRIENDS FOR A SMILE"
A program through which volunteers clowns made visits to children's hospital in Oradea, bringing a smile to the hospitalized children.
Nominees were: Alexandru Farc, Laura Puscas.
Volunteer Award has been given to: Alexandru Farc.
ADMINISTRATIVE AWARD
Translation, transport furniture from the recipient grantee, add databases, painting, cleaning, are some of the administrative duties that volunteers have helped us this year.
Nominees were: Georgeta Finna, Alexandru Muresan, Muresan Mariana.
Prize has been awarded to: Muresan Mariana.
Special Award for a group of people who helped us throughout thir energy, time and resources. Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Christ are part of the group who are constantly with us voluntarily. For this we are thankful and want to show a small gesture of appreciation.
The award was given to sisters Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Christ: Pier-Paola, Maria and Kasia.
Special award for a group of American volunteers which offer their constant willingness to support us in various activities.
The award was given to volunteers: John Gardiner and Stuart Johnsen.
AWARD FOR AVAILABILITY
The volunteers who consistently expressed a desire to participate in more activities and offered his willingness to help us whenever we need.
Prize has been awarded to: Time Szombati.
PRIZE „MOST ACTIVE VOLUNTEER”
Is the prize offered to the volunteer who accumulated the highest number of volunteer hours.
The award was given to volunteer: Alexandru Muresan.
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Of course, all volunteers are special people who chose that voluntarily, to give of their time and energy for a good purpose. 'Volunteer of the Year is an award that is given every year to a volunteer who has shown willingness and commitment throughout the year.
Volunteer award was given to: Georgeta Finna.
Artistic moments were provided by: Re-belle String Quartet - Teodorian Popa, Costin Eva, Bogdan Cocora, Vulturar Vasile with a recital by Alexander Glazunov, the work entitled "Nouvelle" and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Entertainment.
Mr. Crisan Ionel is one of those who directly benefited from the support of volunteers. Through his two carols and a recited poem, he wished to thank the volunteers on behalf of all persons who have benefited from them.
There also played Brigitta Csordas and Alexandru Muresan: Concert for Two Violins in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
Another moment was provided by the theater group of "Lucian Blaga" High School, under the direction of teacher Mrs. Sânziana Neşiu the play "His-story”, a pamphlet at the country's political situation, with the original script written by band members.
The last artistic moment has been offered by the youngest professional magician in Romania, International champion and the youngest illusionist in Romania: Eduard Maliţa and Bianca Oniţa.
All the volunteers were invited on stage to be offered a symbol of gratitude from the association.
