"Imagine Cup" is the most important technological competition addressed to all students in the entire world, organized by Microsoft campaign. Within this event which hosted the national National Final of the competition, which took place during 11 – 12 May in Bucharest, it was chosen the team which will represent Romania this year to the world final which will take place in Warsaw, Poland. The winning team is formed by students studying in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Babes-Bolyai University.

First place – Simplex team, formed by Alina Călin, Andrei Cantea, Andrei Dascălu, Cosmin Mihaiu and the mentor lect. Dana Suciu. The winning solution, Caregamer, is using the popularity of online games in order to direct funds obtained from online publicity towards solving social cases brought up by partners NGO. Association Caritas Eparchial Oradea is a partner.

Simplex team will compete during 3 – 8 July with other teams from over 100 countries.
