Caritas Eparhial Oradea Association organized the lottery for “Showers for the homeless” program, between 8th of March 2012 – 25th of April 2012. For participation the persons should have buy a ticket with the numbers from 1 to 5000. The price of a ticket was 5 lei. Between 2th and 10th of May the winners could have take their prizes according to the winning ticket. Wednesday, 2nd of May 2012 took place withdraw of the winning numbers at the Showers for homeless people lottery. There were printed 5000 lottery tickets. There were sold 2345 (with a total worth of 11.725 lei) from which 18 were canceled because they were marked with different signs. So in the urn were 2327 tickets. The withdraw started from prize number 14 to 1 from the prize list presented in Article 6 of the Regulation Lottery. Given that on Monday, 30th April 2012, was declared non-working day in majority of the public institutions and some private too we are needed to change on the Lottery ticket dawning for shower for the homeless people program for 2th of May 2012, 11:00 o’clock. During the Great Lent 2012, we organized a collection of food in three Greek Catholic churches in Oradea („Sfantul Nicolae” Cathedral, „Maica Domnului” Church, „Sfanta Treime” Church from Oradea). Believers have purchased or surrendered to different foods to donate them to those whose fate has been less favorable. The food has been collected with the help of volunteers. Every Sunday of the Great Lent, 31 volunteers, aged between 16 and 65, were involved in the collection that we organized. Wednesday, 28th of March 2012, Dr. Monika Kleck, Renovabis referent for Romania together with Thomas Müller-Boeh were for a day in the Diocesse of Oradea. During this visit, the two of them had a one hour visit with the representatives of Caritas Eparhial Oradea Association. The first objective was Frenţiu House which is financially supported by Renovabis.
